WE Youth at The Water’s Edge is a community that provides a safe and welcoming environment for middle and high school students. Our desire is to help students make meaningful connections, grow spiritually, and build strong relationships with others. WE Youth is open to anyone currently in the age group of 6th-12th grades.
Our middle and high school youth gather to connect with friends, build new relationships, and engage in LIFEgroup conversations to help students better grasp God’s word and its relevance in their lives.

Ordway, Colorado, is a welcoming small town in the heart of the Arkansas Valley, rich with agricultural roots, hometown pride, and a strong sense of community. Once a thriving crossroads of the region, it now boasts around 1,000 residents, vibrant public schools, local businesses, active churches, and beautiful parks that remain the heart of the town. Despite its charm, Ordway faces real challenges as one of the poorest counties in the U.S. Many seniors, veterans, and residents with disabilities live in homes that need critical repairs. Your youth group will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact—painting, building ramps, repairing walls, and helping give the town a well-deserved facelift. Along the way, you’ll meet incredible locals eager to share their stories and gratitude as you bring hope and transformation to this tight-knit community.
The Water’s Edge Youth Ministry Memorial Scholarships are generously provided by the families of three young men who were deeply involved with WE Youth. These scholarships provide fund for WE Youth summer mission trip and camp participants and honor the memory and legacy of their service and involvement in WE Youth.
WE Youth volunteers are the heart of our ministry. Whether guiding a Sunday morning class, mentoring a confirmation student, greeting students, hosting a LIFEgroup, leading a service project, or going to camp or on a mission trip. WE always welcome more caring adults who are willing to invest their time and energy in our youth. If you’re interested in how you can help our youth grow into fully devoted followers of Jesus, please fill out our form below.
Our team is dedicated adults who are committed to providing youth the opportunities to connect with God and others. To ensure the safety and well-being of the youth, our adult leaders have undergone ministry-specific training, completed an online abuse prevention, safety, and security course, and undergone background checks.
