WE are partnering with our friends from Sleep In Heavenly Peace inside their warehouse in Millard to build beds on January 18, 2025. Join us from 9:00 to 12:00 or from 12:30 to 3:30 as we step out in faith to make a difference in a child’s life!
Age Group - All ages are welcome! This is a family-friendly event, but we recommend children be at least eight years old. An adult must accompany any child under the age of 12. Please remember that we will be working around some loud construction tools.
Tasks - SHP runs an incredibly well-organized and safe build. Service opportunities are available for all ages and skill levels. The work includes measuring and cutting lumber, sanding, assembling, staining, and branding these new bed kits.
Dress Code - Dress for success! We will be working inside. Please wear close-toed shoes, jeans, and your WE Serve T-shirt. All safety equipment is provided. If you don't have a WE Serve T-shirt, please email tim@weomaha.com.

In the Omaha/Council Bluffs Metro, approximately 14,000 kids will sleep on the floor or on a couch tonight – they don’t have a bed. Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) builds, assembles, and delivers top-notch beds with mattresses and bedding to children without a bed of their own. Their motto is, “No kids sleep on the floor in our town!” This is a tremendous opportunity for us to be the hands and feet of Jesus!
