We started with the Gospel of Mark, the first written gospel, and are now studying James, believed to be the first New Testament book. The book of James is a window into the concerns of the early church. Most scholars think James was Jesus' brother, which makes the book fascinating. We'll explore his practical application of living faith and his insights into the believer's life.

This study will lead you through books of the Bible with four basic components:

  • Reflection Questions are designed to help you engage the text at a deeper level
  • Gospel Glimpses highlights the gospel of grace throughout the book
  • Whole-Bible Connections showing how a passage connects to the Bible’s overarching story of redemption culminating in Christ
  • Theological Soundings identifying how historic orthodox doctrines are taught or reinforced throughout Scripture

If you're ready to deepen your journey of life and faith, join us as we learn and laugh while supporting each other. WE meet in the Community Room for an hour each Friday at 6:30 am. The coffee is always on.
