Open Door Mission – Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 9:00 am. to 11:30 am. This month, we will partner with our friends at the Open Door Mission. Our volunteer opportunities include:

We share their vision of breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty in our community, and this is a fantastic way to spread the love of Jesus! Our goal is to send up to forty volunteers to the Mission to help them serve the homeless and near-homeless community.

Age Group—All ages are welcome! This is a family-friendly event, but we recommend children be at least six years old. An adult must accompany any child under the age of 12.

Dress Code – Dress for success! Please wear closed-toed shoes, jeans, and your WE Serve T-shirt. All safety equipment is provided. If you don't have a WE Serve T-shirt, please email tim@weomaha.com.   

Service (work): All work should be done indoors. Depending on the assignment, it may include lifting, sorting, and cleaning. 

Location – WE will meet at the Open Door Mission - Timberlake Outreach Center (2828 North 23^rd St. East, Omaha, NE 68110) at 9:00 am. to check in, pray, receive a brief tour, and serve.

Register – Everyone, including kids, need to register here at the Water’s Edge Signup Genius. Everyone 16 or older will receive an email to create an account to register with the Open Door Mission.
